Corrections and updates
Study material is only as good as its last check. This page records the fixes we make: what was wrong, what it looks like now, and how it was found. If you reported one of these, thank you · the entry is yours as much as ours.
12 October 2026 · Full answer-key audit of all 1,000 questions
- Screened every question in the bank with eight automatic checks: answer-key range and validity, option uniqueness, stem-to-answer type match, explanation support, number-versus-source consistency, repeated option patterns, absolute wording, and clue leakage.
- 232 flagged questions were read one by one. Result: no wrong answer keys were found. The flagged patterns were legitimate · numeric answers, parallel option sets, and "all/everyone" wording inside narrow scopes.
- Six numeric answers were verified line-by-line against the source they cite (speed-limit and sight-distance rules, a fee schedule, an interlock provision, a passing-distance figure). All six held up.
- 26 duplicate questions were rewritten onto new facts · each new item was checked against its own source before publishing, and none of the retired facts was left doubled.
- Seven question stems were reworded where two pages were asking for the same fact in near-identical words. The facts and the answer keys did not change.
- 14 freshly written text fields were re-edited after our originality scan flagged close phrasing; the bank was rebuilt only after the scan came back clean.
12 October 2026 · Originality and clarity pass over the whole bank
- Every question was compared against six source corpora, sentence by sentence. Two items were rewritten from scratch, and remaining overlaps above the review threshold were reworded until flagged overlaps returned to zero.
- Withheld-approval, exam-format and handbook-attribution phrases were removed from stems, options and explanations.
- One option with broken wording was repaired, and one misleading option label was replaced.
- Spelling was normalised to US English throughout, and vague filler adverbs were cleared from answer text.
11–12 October 2026 · Bank grown to 1,000 questions, all sourced
- The bank grew from 459 to 1,000 questions across a general set and four state sets (California, Florida, New York, Texas), in line with the same rules: original wording, a source line on every question, and a manual check before publishing.
- Approval-style filler and repeated facts were removed as the new sets were merged.
11 October 2026 · California set moved to statute citations
- All California questions now cite California Vehicle Code sections (public-domain statutory text) instead of handbook references, and handbook attributions were removed from that set.
Site updates
- 12 October 2026: the sitemap now lists canonically on the real domain (it previously pointed at the preview host), and the two new pages you are reading were added to it.
- 12 October 2026: keyboard support expanded (number and letter keys for answers, R to reveal in review, ? for the shortcut panel), a skip link, visible focus rings, screen-reader announcements for correct/incorrect feedback, and a filter on the mistakes list.
How to report something
Every question prints its ID above the answer. Send the ID and what looks wrong to roadcite.app@gmail.com. We check it against the question's source line, then against the statute or a second handbook if the source is ambiguous. Confirmed fixes are published and listed on this page. The full process is described on the How we check page.
